About our Founder: 

Wesley Williams better known as DJ Weswill founded Spin University in 2023. Weswill has been a Professional DJ since 1997. Graduating from Rider University 2001 with a B.A. in Radio and Television Communications, he has been a professional in the industry for over 25 years. The Goal of Spin University was to create a platform designed to educate the world about the art and profession of the DJ. 

The Program:

The program has a university style educational format that teaches the basic mechanics and fundamentals of the art through structured labs, and 1 on 1 skills training. Through our comprehensive curriculum we educate students on the business, infrastructure, systems, history, and culture of the industry.

Our students learn the basic fundamentals of the art of being a Dj. They will learn the equipment and software, and how to effectively use them. Students learn how to mix and blend music, as well as master song structure, identify parts of songs, and learn how to manipulate and maneuver through music. 

Through our business model we like to introduce our students to the basics of principles of Accounting, Marketing and Customer service. These elements are key components to the success of being a DJ and entrepreneur, and the principles learned are transferable to any small business. 

Our goal is to provide youth with a solid foundation and guidelines of basic business principles and strategy, in a fun learning environment that’s rooted in music and the exciting profession of the DJ
